Hypnotherapy is a form of focused attention similar to day dreaming by using your imagination while in deep relaxation and a safe supportive environment.  Hypnosis has a profound effect on the body and the mind, and it can help you to overcome unproductive thoughts and feelings, by replacing them with positive or more manageable thoughts and feelings by replacing them with more positive or more manageable thoughts in specific situations.

Hypnosis is often portrayed inaccurately in the media as involving a loss of control.  In fact, under hypnosis you have to be in control in order to be in the ‘here and now’. You have to be working hard throughout your sessions, and you will be interacting with me by giving feedback or following instruction s or suggestions.  After hypnotherapy sessions clients have reported a deeper feeling of calmness and relaxation in their body and mind than they have ever felt before.
